Rachel has lived in Suffolk all her life actually beginning her primary education at St Edmundsbury school before her parents moved to another area. Originally a health visitor, Rachel has always been involved in working with children and families in some way. She made the transition into education 16 years ago, teaching at West Suffolk College. She is now an experienced curriculum manager at the college, responsible for the staffing and delivery of maths and English. She has two (almost) grown-up daughters and her youngest daughter, Emily, is in year one at the school. She is very happy to be serving as a parent governor, a role she enjoyed when her older girls were at primary school. In her spare time she loves enjoying country walks with her family and needlework and dressmaking.
