Julia Johnston

Having lived during my early life in various cities around the country, Bury St Edmunds now feels like home.  I’m married to Stuart and have a daughter Poppy who attends the school.

Although trained as a photographer, my main career has previously been working as a Facilities Manager for a large pharmaceutical company in Cambridge, with it I spent a year in California.  I am now currently self-employed, as a workplace consultant.  This means I help companies with the refurbishment and fit-out of their offices and help organisations manage their workplace real estate efficiently.

Home life generally (pre covid) means the melee of swimming and ballet lessons, however, I do participate in a pottery class once a week, as well as enjoy creative writing.  I make myself go out and run regularly, and recently raised over £650 for MIND Suffolk as part of participating in REDJanuary which encourages daily exercise for better mental health.
