Lesley Barlow

Lesley worked in Tower Hamlets for 29 years as a primary teacher, later holding the post of head teacher in two successive schools.  Following early retirement in 1995, she worked as a school inspector and then as co-ordinator of a charity working with schools and families in Inner London.  She retired (again!) in 2004 but continued to be involved with education as Chair of the Chelmsford Diocesan Board. On moving to Bury in 2011, Lesley decided she would never again join a committee;  then she visited St Edmundsbury and was so impressed that she changed her mind!  She and her husband, Christopher, are members of the Cathedral congregation.
