France Class Timetable

PE

Our PE days for France Class  are  Tuesday and Thursday. Children should come into school in their PE kits on these days, ready for the lessons. Please name any kit and ensure children have trainers and suitable outdoor kit (such as a jumper or jacket). Tracksuits should be plain and dark in colour. Let us know if you need any help finding suitable PE kit. 

France class have enjoyed their Design and Technology lessons this half term. They designed their own felt puppet, used a needle to sew the pieces of felt together and added different materials to complete their design. 

To celebrate St Edmund's Day, France class enjoyed acting out the story of St Edmund. The children really enjoyed 'rowing across the sea' in their Viking boats and killing King Edmund. Great acting France class! 

Vicar Sarah from the Cathedral came to visit Key Stage One to talk to us about Baptism which is one way that Christians show that they are part of the family of God. She demonstrated a baptism for us to see using a (pretend) baby! 

We really enjoyed finding out what happens during a baptism. We were able to ask Vicar Sarah our questions about baptism such as 'why do you baptise babies with water?' and 'is a baptism and christening the same?'. 

Vicar Sarah showed us some of the symbols used in baptism such as water, oil and a candle.
