Headteacher's Welcome

'Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart......'

Colossians 3:23

As the Acting Headteacher of St Edmundsbury Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website.

We are a school in the heart of the community that caters for children from 4-11 (Reception to Year 6).

Here at St Edmundsbury we pride ourselves in our caring and nurturing ethos, making it our business to really know each child as a unique individual and helping them to secure their own personal successes. The relationships and the expectations we have of all members of our school family are underpinned by Christian values and we take pride our close relationships with our clergy and church community.

We aim to inspire and excite our children through the many opportunities we offer both within the curriculum and as part of wider school life through trips, visits, working with our community and providing a wide range of clubs for children to attend. We want our children to develop into positive 'global citizens' with a growing understanding of their role in society - both locally and further afield; children who are confident in voicing their opinion, look after the environment and respect others.

We aim to ensure that our children achieve to their highest potential, so that they are ready for the next stage in their educational journey and prepared for their future lives by working at everything 'with all our hearts'.

We are a busy, friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.
